To our English-speaking community, here you can find some information about what this project is about. We will work on translating the notebook from Spanish to English in 2020 so we can reach travellers & immigrants worldwide. Please reach out if you'd like to find ways to get the notebook delivered to you if you're outside of Ecuador and don't forget to join Wanderful to connect with women all over the world.

Me Voy de Casa [I'm Leaving Home] is a collaborative and interactive notebook inspired in nine panel discussions (convenings) that we organized in Quito to talk about what it means to travel & immigrate alone. We addressed experiences related to mental health, financial obstacles, motherhood, self-care, activism, sisterhood, violence, culture shock, fears, and so much more. It is based on the experiences of more than 30 women who participated in these spaces to share their stories.

The panel discussions were named #YoViajoSola [#ITravelAlone], a hashtag that often becomes viral when a woman is murdered in Latin America during her travels. The hashtag is used to reclaim our right to travel without violence.
